stealth- Fibroadenoma breast excision

fibroadenoma is a benign tumor that can develop in the breast. The tumors consist of glandular and connective tissue, and they can vary in size. Most of the times patient will not have symptoms and don’t have pain. Sometimes pain may be associated during periods.

Fibroadenomas are usually diagnosed clinically and can be confirmed on ultrasonography of the breast.

Fibroadenomas can be observed for sometime and if increasing in size or causing discomfort may be removed by surgical excision. Surgery could leave scars on the breast, which may interfere with future imaging tests. Presently STEALTH surgery has been done for outer quadrant lump where they can be removed by subcutaneous surgery by hiding the access scars.
